Because unsolicited advertising e-mails (aka spam) have become such a problem, most Internet Service Providers (Comcast, AOL) and web-based e-mail services include filters to protect you against getting spam e-mail. Spam e-mail is typically automatically placed in a Spam or Junk Mailbox which you may rarely if ever examine.
While these spam filters often do a good job of protecting you against spam, they can sometimes make false positive errors which mistakenly classify desired e-mail as spam, preventing you from receiving it.
A whitelist compliments a good spam filter by identifying specific e-mail senders who you have certifed as desirable so that messages from that address are never accidentally classified as spam.
I hate getting junk e-mail as much as you do. MeisterMed adheres to a strict, no spam policy and follows all current guidelines of the CAN-SPAM Act. Adding my e-mail address (andrew@icdmeister.com) to your whitelist will ensure you receive replies to your inquiries and, if you've signed up for ICDMeister Online, useful e-mails with tips about how to best use this coding tool.
