Features / Benefits
Here's an example of some of the special features in ICDMeister that you won't find in the other iPhone ICD-9 coding tools:
- Most Common Diagnosis lists let you find most of the codes you need with 3-4 taps.
- Why deal with red codes and green codes? All of the codes in ICDMeister are current (2009) and valid (no non-billable codes).
- No 5th digit required here. ICDMeister takes care of all this for you. When you find your ICD-9 code in ICDMeister, it's a valid code.
- The powerful search function lets you search for abbreviations & acronyms. Search for Afib, DM, CHF, SK, FTT, SCFE, AGE, NAFLD, FB, LBP, CVA, DUB, CAD - just some of the hundreds built into ICDMeister.
- Search for full words or part of a word. Can't spell De Quervain's tenosynovitis? No problem. Just search for querv and find the code you want in seconds.
- Search for common medical terms missing from most of the other ICD-9 lookup tools: paresthesia, fibroid, numbness, fibroid, poison ivy, onycholysis, folliculitis, frozen shoulder, and hundreds more.
- Search for ICD-9 codes to find their description. Pretty handy when you see the code on some form and don't have a clue what it's referring to.
- Common language, easy-to-understand descriptions. What the heck does "TOX W OLD HYP-DEL W P/P" mean anyway?
- ICDMeister includes all of the 2009 ICD-9 diagnosis codes, not just a subset of codes. You can't trust someone else to figure out which codes you'll need and which ones you won't. Limited code lists are full of unspecified/Not Otherwise Specified (NOS) codes which some insurers are less likely to pay.
Feedback from thousands of physicians using ICDMeister over the past eight years has been incorporated to make ICDMeister better and better each year.

★★★★★ A Must Have for and Medical Professional
I use ICDMeister and
PCodeMeister
at least 30 times per day in my Ob-Gyn Practice... My revenues have increased
and my billing service thinks I have hired a coder behind their backs! Highly
recommended and will pay for itself in one day of use (one denied claim could
easily cost more than the yearly subscription)... MD in Houston Tx...

★★★★★ The best coder on pda hands down!
This app is the best! I have used the online and isilo versions of the program
for several years and have found them to be quick, intuitive, and accurate. WHen
I upgrade to an iphone last year, I was sad to see the app not yet available --
but not for long! Just downloaded it two weeks ago and have found the iPhone
version to be just as efficient (more so even) and much easier to navigate than
other icd-9 coders out there. It may seem like an expensive app, but it is well
worth the $20! April 15, 2009
★★★★★ Buy this program
I am a General Internist and have also used the Palm version of ICDMeister for
several years and the transition to iPhone is seemless. This product continues
to be the most organized, user-friendly coding program I have come across. The
search function and "Most common diagnoses" sections enable you to find exactly
the code you are looking for with three or four clicks. Need to find the code
for Pulmonary Embolism? Simply do a search for "PE" (case sensitive) and it
comes right up. Or, go to "Resp" section's "Most common diagnoses," click on the
appropriate "P" section, and "Pulmonary Embolism" is immediately found. In the
middle of a busy day in either the office or the hospital, I can find any
diagnosis in 5 to 10 seconds (that includes turning on the iPhone and clicking
the program open). My staff is also very appreciative when they have to enter
the billing or enter lab orders and all the diagnoses already have the ICD-9
codes written. I cannot rate this program high enough. Do not waste your time
with anything else. April 11, 2009
★★★★★ GREAT Product
As a user of MeisterMed applications for the past several years, I was THRILLED
to see ICDMeister for the iPhone and couldn't wait to download this application.
It has exceeded all expectations. It is SO easy to find the appropriate codes
even for those obscure diagnoses. March 28, 2009
★★★★★ ICDMeister
Great Application, I have used Palm Version for years. This works even better
and is very user friendly. April 5, 2009
★★★★★ Best coder hands down
Andrew, you've done it again! MeisterMed has always been the best PDA-based
coding software and you don't dissapoint with the iPhone version. Kudos!

★★★★★ great new ICD9 app
I'm a family medicine resident, heavy user of the iphone. Compared with the STAT
ICD-9 program (only other ICD-9 tool I've used), I find ICDMeister easier to
navigate, and has better organization. It's a very responsive, quick program...
unlike other iphone medical software (I'm looking at you epocrates). As a quick
test, I wanted to find the code for tb screening. Typing in "ppd" in Meister
brings you one touch away from the screening code (V74.1). With STAT ICD-9, i'm
taken only to the positive PPD code (795.5). I had to go through more trees in
STAT to get the code I was looking for. That did it for me. Highly recommend
ICDMeister. March 27, 2009
★★★★★ Even Better than Palm version
I have used ICDMeister on palm lifedrive, previously, iphone app is much faster,
no crashes, well organized, Highly recommend. March 28, 2009
★★★★★ MeisterMed Applications finally moving from Palm to iPhone!
I've used many of the MeisterMed Palm applications over the past many years, and
missed them when I finally moved from Palm to iPhone. I'm thrilled to see that
MeisterMed has made the move to iPhone, and hope this is the first of many
MeisterMed apps to show up in the App Store. ICDMeister is rapid, easy to use,
provides many ways to find the full ICD code you are looking for, and provides
great specificity in coding. If you have used the Palm ICDMeister program, you
will immediately know how to use the iPhone version -- only this version seems
to run more smoothly and quickly. If you need an ICD coding app, this one will
work flawlessly. March 31, 2009
★★★★★ ICDMeister
By far, the most efficient and accurate way to find a code. I have been looking
up ICD 9 codes and seen the painfully slow evolution from looking in a book, to
a computer to a palm based program, to an ineffective i-phone application and
now finally to the solution that need to evolve no further! Thanks MedMeister.

★★★★★ I.M.MD
I've been using the palm version of ICDMeister for the past several years and
found it to be very easy and helpful compared to other coding softwares. I'm
very happy that the iPhone version is now here which is much better, easier,
faster and well organized compared to the other iPhone coding software that I
tried. The search function is very helpful and you can even use the ICD number
if you would like to check what diagnosis it corresponds to. You can also
bookmark the most common diagnosis that you use for future use. As an added
feature or bonus if I may is the red color of the ICD9 Dx code number that makes
it easier to see. A short tutorial in their website is also very helpful in case
you need it. I highly recommend this ICD 9 coding softwares to all my collegues
out there who needs one. March 28, 2009
★★★★★ Great app!
Really simple app to use. I had the prior version for my Palm OS & loved it. Am
really glad that it's available for the iPhone now. ICD Coding is really a
burden in addition to charting, but this makes it less painful. Totally worth
the $! April 19, 2009
★★★★★ Icd
Works just as intuitively as the palm version I have used on my palm. I would
recommend to any one in the medical field. June 15, 2009
★★★★★ I
Full disclosure-I work at the same hospital as Andy( the "meister") and he gave
me a heads-up. I've been using the Palm version of this program for 3 or 4
years, and have stopped using any other coding tool. This program is even
better. It's quick, easy, and accurate. I code at my desk, and this is much
better than a book or a computer program. March 26, 2009

Excellent version of this application. It does seem faster than the palm
version. I'm finally getting used to the menu with the touch screen and
fingertips. Get this now! April 26, 2009
